Truth or Consequence

In August of 2016, the Penn-Trafford HS Concert Percussion Ensemble commissioned a piece by composer and music publisher Jim Casella. He is best known for the music he’s created for percussion ensembles and the world-class drum corps Vanguard (Santa Clara, CA) and Cavaliers (Rosemont, IL). The company he co-founded, Tapspace, is one of the leading publishers of percussion music in the world. You might also be familiar with the software sample library he created called Virtual Drumline.

 

In 2017 the Penn-Trafford Percussion Ensemble played this piece for their competitive season. This piece is marked as med-advanced for 19 players. Penn-Trafford Percussion won the 2017 WGI Richmond Concert A Championship, 2017 WGI Indianapolis Concert A Championships, and 2nd at the 2017 WGI Mid-East Power Regional in Concert A Percussion for that season.
